The Museum of the Courageous (MOTC) is a virtual memorial in the form of an inspiring collection of stories about people across America standing up to acts of hate. 
In 2020, executive director Teresa Vazquez asked me to launch their first-ever Courageous Class via social media and email. I pitched an expansion of their brand visual toolkit—adding a suite of colors inspired by sunrise and sunset (where the darkness meets the light), a secondary brand font reminiscent of engravings on stone monuments and cornerstones, and graphic devices that made more of their existing logo and brought movement and scale to the organization's messaging. The team and board embraced all of this enthusiastically, and we rolled out the announcements throughout the early months of 2021.
